Daniel Ortega Trujillo has a diverse work experience in various companies. Daniel is currently the CEO of Energia Plus, an electricity company specializing in offering global energy solutions. As CEO, they are responsible for the strategic transformation plan, integrating renewable energy solutions and ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
Prior to this, Daniel worked at Microsoft for four years as the Government & Health Director. Daniel then served as the CEO of SANDETEL, a public company responsible for providing IT services to the regional government of Andalusia. During their time at SANDETEL, they led the execution of a strategic plan to ensure financial sustainability and improve the quality and efficiency of IT services.
Before joining SANDETEL, Daniel was a Partner in the Public Sector division at everis, where they contributed to the expansion of the company in the south of Spain. Daniel led diversification areas such as Management Consulting and Public Sector-Local Governments, and was involved in projects like MOAD (Modelo Objetivo de Ayuntamiento Digital), a platform for cities to offer electronic services to citizens.
Earlier in their career, Daniel worked at Red Eléctrica de España as an Organization & IT Manager, and at Arthur Andersen as a Senior Consultant.
Daniel Ortega Trujillo completed a Master's degree in Data & Analytics from MBIT School from 2018 to 2019. Prior to that, they received a Master's degree in Business Administration from ISG Institut Supérieur de Gestion between 1994 and 1996. Daniel obtained a University degree in Economics & Business Administration from Universidad de Sevilla from 1989 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Daniel Ortega Trujillo also achieved a certification in Microsoft-INSEAD Online Business Strategy and Financial Acumen with Distinction from INSEAD Executive Education in January 2015.
