Tunji Ajayi

Tunji Ajayi has over 20 years of work experience in various financial roles. Tunji began their career as the Group Manager in the Internal Audit Department at UAC of Nigeria Plc. Tunji later worked as a Senior Accountant at Texaco Nig. Plc before joining AES Nigeria Barge Ltd as a Project Accountant. At AES, they were responsible for setting up accounting and financial systems, managing receivables, and establishing a pension scheme for staff. Tunji then joined Caverton Helicopters as the Finance & Accounts Manager and later became the Group Financial Controller for Caverton Offshore Support Group/ Caverton Marine. In these roles, they oversaw central finance functions, evaluated long-term strategies, and ensured compliance with regulations. Tunji also worked as the Financial Controller at Caverton Helicopters and later at Caverton Helicopters Limited, where they managed financial management, reporting, and treasury functions. Tunji also served as the Vice President of Treasury at Arik Air Limited, where they managed the company's liquid capital and raised funds from financial institutions. Tunji currently serves as the General Manager/ Chief Finance Officer at Energia Limited, where they oversee the financial operations of the company's joint venture.

Tunji Ajayi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Obafemi Awolowo University from 1984 to 1988. Tunji then pursued a Master's in Business Administration at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, which they obtained from 2001 to 2004. Prior to these higher education experiences, Tunji attended Anglican Grammar School. Tunji also attended St. Thomas Primary School in Isinkan, Akure, although specific years of attendance for both primary schools are not provided.
