Carsten Schwarz has extensive experience in leadership and management roles within the energy and military sectors. Since January 2015, Carsten has served as Vorstand, Geschäftsführer, and Leiter Betriebsführung at Energiekontor AG, overseeing operational management and innovation projects related to wind energy. Prior to this, from April 2009 to June 2014, Carsten held significant positions at Bundeswehr, including Sachgebietsleiter Materialerhaltung, where responsibilities included the maintenance of over 1000 military vehicles, managing a team of engineers, and leading safety engineering efforts. Carsten also contributed as Stellvertretender Betriebsleiter Instandsetzungswerk, focusing on personnel planning and training development for leadership succession. Academically, Carsten holds a Master of Science in Renewable Energies from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and a Diplomingenieur in Electrical Engineering from Helmut-Schmidt-Universität/Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg.
