Perry Jackson

Perry Jackson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in economic and environmental policy within the Tasmanian Government. Currently serving as the Assistant Director of Economic and Environment Policy at the Department of Premier and Cabinet since March 2023, Perry leads a team focused on whole-of-government strategies. Prior roles include Senior Policy Analyst and Senior Advisor positions, where significant contributions were made to climate change legislation, including the Climate Change (State Action) Amendment Bill, which established a net zero target for 2030. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Environmental Economics and Climate Change from The London School of Economics and Political Science, alongside a Master of Engineering in Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Engineering and a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Natural Resources Engineering from the University of Canterbury.
