Weimin Peng

Weimin Peng has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Weimin most recently worked at Energous Corporation as a Principal Antenna Engineer starting in July 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Flex as a Senior Antenna/RF/Hardware Engineer from May 2015 to July 2020, where they designed and integrated various baseband antennas and IoT antennas. Weimin also calibrated and optimized antenna performance parameters in the RF chamber.

From May 2005 to December 2013, Weimin Peng worked as a Principal Antenna/RF Electrical Engineer at INOVA Geophysical. Here, they led the RF design of the INOVA Hawk release project, a wireless seismic system. Weimin performed propagation modeling and link budget analysis as part of the project design.

In their earlier career, Weimin Peng served as an Application Engineer at Alereon from October 2003 to May 2005, participating in the design and verification of Alereon's 802.15.3a UWB wireless chipset. Weimin also worked as a Senior Hardware/FPGA Engineer at Canoga Perkins from October 2002 to October 2003, designing a multi-rate optical modem and 10G Ethernet switch.

From November 2000 to August 2002, Weimin Peng was a Senior Hardware Engineer at Celion Networks. Here, they contributed to the architectural design of line cards for Celion's DWDM telecom system. Weimin also provided system synchronization schemes and analyzed system performance and resource requirements.

Early in their career, Weimin Peng worked at Fujitsu Network Communications, Inc. as an Embedded Software Engineer from June 1996 to November 2000. Weimin developed real-time OS kernel and customized BSP on Motorola 8260 processor for Fujitsu access products, and also performed product design and specification with system design and product planning groups.

Weimin Peng completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University between 1985 and 1989. Weimin then pursued further education and obtained their Master's degree in Physics from Tulane University between 1992 and 1995.
