Pete Labbat

Managing Partner at Energy Capital Partners (ECP)

Mr. Labbat is a Managing Partner of ECP. He is involved in all areas of the firm’s investment activities, serves as the Chairman of the Investment Committee and Valuation Committee and is a member of the ESG Committee and Management Committee, and from June 2015 onwards, co-led the Mezzanine Fund with Andrew Singer. Mr. Labbat serves on the boards of Sendero Midstream Partners, LP, Next Wave Energy Partners, LP, NCSG Crane & Heavy Haul Corp., and Triton Power Partners LP. Previously, Mr. Labbat served on the boards of Ice Energy Inc. ProPetro Holding Corp., Summit Midstream Partners, LLC and Summit Midstream Partners, L.P. Prior to realization, Mr. Labbat served on the boards of ADA Carbon Solutions, LLC, Cheiftain Sand and Proppant, LLC, NextLight Renewable Power, LLC, Odessa Power Holdings, LLC, and Red Oak Power Holdings.

Prior to joining ECP in 2006, Mr. Labbat spent 13 years in Goldman Sachs’ Investment Banking Division. He began his career within Goldman Sachs’ Mergers & Acquisitions Department, advising on and executing numerous strategic transactions including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures across a variety of industries. As a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Labbat had senior-level coverage responsibility for electric and gas utilities and independent power companies throughout the United States. Mr. Labbat was also responsible for mergers and acquisitions in the natural resources sector.

Mr. Labbat received a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
