Alex Chakhmakhchev has a diverse background in geochemistry and advanced analytics, currently serving as an expert in Applied Geochemistry and Advanced Analytics at the Energy & Environmental Research Center since January 2019. With extensive experience in oil and water fingerprinting, reservoir evaluations, and production monitoring, Alex also has a strong foundation in H2S generation mechanisms and petroleum system characterization. Previous roles include positions at Applied Chem Data LLC, SGS, IHS Markit, IHS, YUKOS E&P, and JNOC, demonstrating a comprehensive expertise in big data, analytics, and consulting within the energy sector. Academic credentials include a Master’s Degree in Petroleum Geology from Lomonosov Moscow State University and specialized training in Geochemistry from Shimane University.
