Trevor Richards

Assistant Director For Geophysics at Energy & Environmental Research Center

Trevor Richards has extensive experience in the field of geophysics. Trevor currently holds the position of Assistant Director for Geophysics at the Energy & Environmental Research Center. Prior to this role, they worked as the Principal Geoscience Advisor at the same organization. Before joining the Energy & Environmental Research Center, Trevor worked as a Geophysical Advisor at Chesapeake Energy. Trevor also served as the Geophysical Manager at Denbury Resources Inc., where they developed workflows for monitoring CO2 EOR using time-lapse seismic and AVO. Trevor started their career as a Geophysicist at Hunt Oil Company.

Trevor Richards holds a Master of Science degree in Geophysics from The University of Texas at Dallas. Trevor completed this program from 1999 to 2002. Prior to that, from 1995 to 2000, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geophysics from the same university. Before their undergraduate studies, Trevor attended Science Engineering Magnet High School. In addition to their formal education, they completed a certification in Design-Thinking and Innovation for Technical Leaders from MIT Professional Education in July 2022.
