Since June 2015, Amena has served as a Senior Research Analyst and Deputy Bureau Chief & Chief OPEC Correspondent at Energy Intelligence, focusing on coverage of Saudi Arabia. Prior to this, from March 2009 to June 2015, Amena worked as an Energy Correspondent for Thomson Reuters. Amena began a career in journalism at The National newspaper as a Business Reporter from January to December 2008 and previously worked as a Business Reporter at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt from June 2005 to December 2007. Amena holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Administration and Management from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
