Ian Nathan

Ian Nathan serves as the Director of Research & Advisory at Energy Intelligence, a position held since March 2006, where responsibilities include leading Global Gas and LNG Research with a focus on LNG, gas markets, corporate strategy, energy transition, upstream operations, country risk, and geopolitics. Previous roles include Manager of Global Gas and LNG Research and Senior Research Analyst at the same firm, along with the role of Associate Director of Energy and Geopolitical Research at Burnham Securities Inc. between 2002 and 2006, where expertise covered oil markets, geopolitics, gas markets, and regions such as the Former Soviet Union and the Middle East. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant Vice President of Energy and Geopolitical Research at Hoenig & Co., Inc. Ian Nathan holds a Master’s degree in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from The George Washington University.
