Michael Garcia

Michael Garcia possesses extensive experience in nuclear power management and operations, currently serving as Shift Manager at Energy Northwest since July 2016, where previous titles include Control Room Supervisor and ILC - SRO. Prior to this role, Michael held various positions in the US Navy from February 2004 to March 2016, including Reactor Control Division Chief on the USS Jimmy Carter and Nuclear Reactor Operator on the USS Virginia, along with serving as an instructor for the naval nuclear propulsion program. Michael's educational background includes a Master's degree in Management with a focus on Organizational Leadership from Thomas Edison State University (expected September 2024) and a Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology from the same institution, complemented by various technical training in nuclear power and electronics.
