Senior Energy DIS Analyst, Project Lead at Energy Profiles Limited

Ying Quan has a diverse range of work experience, starting with a role as a Laboratory Research Technician in the Biology Department at the University of Waterloo in 2010. They gained experience in caring for live laboratory specimens and setting up plots with plants and insects. In the same year, Ying worked as a Research Assistant in the Psychology Department at the University of Waterloo and as a Laboratory/Field Assistant in the Organic Geochemistry Lab at the Earth & Environmental Science Department, also at the University of Waterloo.

In 2012, Ying worked as an Environmental Project Assistant at ECOTEC before taking on a role as a Laboratory Research Technician in the Earth and Environmental Science Department at the University of Waterloo in 2013. They were responsible for conducting research in the laboratory and were involved in quality assurance work at Bio Agri Mix.

In 2016, Ying gained further experience as a Research and Project Assistant (Internship) at Pollution Probe. Currently, Ying is working at Energy Profiles Limited as a Senior Energy DIS Analyst and Project Lead.

Ying Quan has a strong educational background in the field of environmental science. In 2009, they began their studies at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued an Honours Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences and Ecology. Ying completed this program in 2011. Ying then went on to enroll at the University of Toronto in 2015, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Environmental Science in 2016.

In addition to their academic achievements, Ying Quan has also obtained professional certifications. In 2013, they became an Environmental Professional In-Training (EPt) through ECO Canada.
