Neil Horrocks

Member Regulatory Reference Committee at Energy Queensland

Neil Horrocks currently serves as the Deputy Chief Research Officer and Program Lead for Networks at RACE for 2030 since March 2024. In addition, Neil is a member of the Regulatory Reference Committee at Energy Queensland and the Reference Committee at Energy Consumers Australia, both active since September 2023 and January 2022, respectively. Neil also holds the position of Independent Chair for the Customer and Communities Reference Group at Urban Utilities since October 2022. Neil's previous roles include Director of External Engagement and Director of the UQ Centre for Energy Data Innovation at The University of Queensland, where efforts focused on industry collaboration and renewable energy integration. Prior leadership positions include Chair of the Brisbane Sustainability Agency, Chief Executive Officer of the same agency, Non-Executive Director at Dial Before You Dig QLD, and various managerial roles at Energex. Neil is educated at the Australian Institute of Company Directors and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia.
