Sonya Barry

Sonya Barry is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software project management and community engagement. Currently serving as Associate Director of Software Projects at Energy Solutions since March 2017, Sonya established the Software Project Management team and enhances processes and communication as the organization expands. Previously, Sonya held the position of Senior Community Manager and Program Manager at Synopsys Inc., where a developer support community framework was designed. At Oracle, Sonya worked as Director of Community Infrastructure and Program Manager, overseeing a community platform and managing project portfolios. Additional experience includes roles at Sun Microsystems, OpenTV, Vividence, and Absolute Quality, complemented by an MA in Interdisciplinary Computer Science from Mills College and a BA in English from the University of Southern California.
