E. Patrick Saxton started their work experience in 1990 at OGE Energy Corp, where they held various roles such as Region Engineering, Sr. Project Manager-Region Operations, Business Development Manager, and Manager Federal Energy Solutions. E. Patrick joined Energy Systems Group (ESG) in 2021 as Director-Utility Engagement.

E. Patrick Saxton has a strong educational background. E. Patrick completed their Business Leadership and Management studies at Harvard University in 2014. Prior to that, they obtained a MSE degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from the University of Oklahoma in 2003. In 1999, they earned an MS degree in Business Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix. Additionally, Saxton holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Oklahoma State University, which they received in 1989.

In terms of certifications, Saxton obtained a Green Belt certification from the Lean Six Sigma Institute LLC in November 2014. E. Patrick also holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, which they obtained in August 2006. Furthermore, Saxton obtained a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification from the Oklahoma Association of Energy Engineers (AEEOK) in January 2002.
