Jason MacDowell has over two decades of work experience, starting with their role as Lead Technical Director at GE from 1999 to 2001. Jason then worked as an Application Engineer at GE Power from 2001 to 2005, followed by a role as a Principal Engineer at GE China from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Senior Engineer at GE Energy. Jason then became a Principal Engineer/Consultant at GE Energy from 2011 to 2012. Jason joined GE Energy Management in 2012 and held roles as Manager, Thermal & Renewables from 2012 to 2014, and Manager - Renewables, Controls & Protection from 2014 to 2017. After that, they moved to GE Power where they worked as Director - Industry & Policy from 2017 to 2018, and later as Senior Director - Technology, Strategy & Policy starting in 2018. Currently, Jason MacDowell is the Chief Systems Integration Officer at ESIG (Energy Systems Integration Group) as of October 2022.
Jason MacDowell began their education in 1991 at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake CSD, where they earned a diploma. Jason then attended Clarkson University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems. Following this, they pursued further education at Union University from 2003 to 2013, earning an MBA with a specialization in General Management.
