Software Developer at Energy Toolbase

Geoff Lorne is a software developer who currently works at Energy Toolbase. Prior to their current position, Geoff worked as a Junior Software Engineer at Varsity Tutors from May 2019 to April 2020, where they were responsible for A/B testing UX improvements to a lead form that led to an increase in sales conversion rate for a tutoring product. Geoff also owned and maintained multiple services for Veritas Prep, Varsity’s college exam prep subsidiary, and built an online classroom that hosted live exam prep classes for hundreds of concurrent students.

Geoff’s previous experience includes working as a Co-op Web Developer at Highway Three Solutions from May 2018 to August 2018, where they developed Angular modules for a single page web application and implemented Redux actions, reducers, and stores to manage app state and allow better communication between angular components. Geoff also worked as a Software Designer Co-op at Nokia from January 2017 to April 2017, and as a Co-op Web Developer at the University of Victoria from September 2015 to August 2016.

Geoff Lorne attended the University of Victoria, where they earned their Bachelor of Software Engineering (B.Seng) degree in Software Engineering.
