Amanda Sales

Director of HR at Energy Trust of Oregon

With experience growing up, learning and working in diverse and rural communities, Amanda brings a unique perspective to enhance executive decision-making at Energy Trust. Through her past roles at Energy Trust, Amanda has successfully worked to elevate human resources as a strategic partner to managers and staff. Her work includes the development of a mentoring program, advancing staff compensation philosophy and guidelines, developing training, hiring and recruiting strategies to increase staff diversity and the production of an HR strategy that aligns with the organization’s strategic plan. Outside of her role at Energy Trust, Amanda champions the importance of workforce readiness, reducing recidivism and previously provided interpersonal and career skills coaching to people of color in prison or work release programs. Currently, she volunteers HR services to emerging non-profits that focus on running youth programs to improve the lives of youth of color living in poverty across the nation. Amanda is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (sHRBP).
