Sarah Howerter has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and research. Sarah currently works as a Data Scientist at EnergyHub since December 2021. Previously, they worked at Packetized Energy from November 2019 to December 2021, where they measured and improved performance using data from Packetized devices and conducted analysis and optimization tasks. Sarah also had a short stint as a Data Scientist at Packetized Energy in September 2019. Prior to that, Sarah served as an Inventory Control Specialist at The Outdoor Gear Exchange from September 2016 to November 2019, where they managed inventory accuracy and performed data analysis in Excel and POS systems. Sarah also worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Vermont from September 2017 to September 2019, assisting with various research projects related to transportation, including analyzing travel survey data, designing measurement methods, and conducting literature reviews.
Sarah Howerter began their education in 2008 at the Savannah College of Art and Design, where they earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Printmaking. After that, from 2013 to 2016, they attended the City College of San Francisco to complete the prerequisites for a Master's degree in Physics and Civil Engineering. In 2017, Sarah enrolled at the University of Vermont and pursued a Master's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Transportation. Sarah also obtained a Certificate of Graduate Study in Complex Systems and Data Science from the University of Vermont Complex Systems Center during the same period, which concluded in 2019.
