In 2020, they worked as a Graduate Student Researcher for Alliander, and in 2019 they worked as a Course Moderator for Electric Cars Policy at Technische Universiteit Delft, as well as a Data Scientist for Alliander. In 2016, they worked as a Software Engineer for Bosch Global Software Technologies and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for Vellore Institute of Technology. In 2014, they worked as a Summer Intern for The Automotive Research Association of India.
Devendra Kulkarni obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology in 2016. Following this, they obtained two Coursera Course Certificates in Machine Learning and The Data Scientist's Toolbox in 2016. In 2018, they completed their Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering from Delft University of Technology.
