Erik van Wijk

Erik adds over 18 years of software product development experience in different roles to Energyworx. Besides that, he has gained a lot of knowledge specifically in the utility market. He worked as a software specialist for companies like Compuware Europe and Vattenfall trading before he co-founded Energyworx. At Vattenfall he worked on an energy trading platform and a Market Data Management solution. At Compuware Europe, he was part of the software development team designing and building products like Uniface and a complex application generation platform OptimalJ which was based on MDA (Model Driven Architecture).

Erik believes it is very important to make the utility sector aware of the upcoming data explosion and the new challenges ahead. These challenges require new affordable sophisticated solutions.

With extreme enthusiasm, Erik uses his skills, knowledge, and the latest technologies to make the impossible possible when it comes to big data in the utility sector. On the private level when he’s not glued to his laptop he likes to spend time with his family or do sports.
