Aoife Celoria

Aoife Celoria, Ph.D., is a Battery Materials Scientist at EnerSys, bringing extensive experience in electrochemical research and advanced technology development. Previous roles include Advanced Technology Scientist at Honeywell, where innovative applications were designed for monitoring chemical reactions in rechargeable batteries, and Electrochemical Research Scientist at Black Diamond Structures LLC. Aoife contributed to applications engineering and R&D at NovaCentrix and served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at The University of Texas at Austin, focusing on lithium-ion battery materials enhancement. Earlier positions as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the University of California San Diego involved developing sensors for explosive detection and gas analysis. Aoife's academic journey began with a PhD from the University of Oxford, where research included the application of ionic liquids in gas sensors. Aoife also holds a BSc. (Hons) in Chemistry from University College Cork and a background in developing heavy metal sensors for environmental remediation.
