Joe Lerario

Joe Lerario, CPA has extensive work experience in the field of taxation. Joe is currently serving as the Vice President of Global Tax at EnerSys since August 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Tax at Tekni-Plex, Inc. from January 2015 to August 2020. At Tekni-Plex, Inc., they played a crucial role in developing and manufacturing innovative packaging materials and medical compounds.

Before joining Tekni-Plex, Inc., Joe Lerario served as the Tax Director at Gardner Denver from 2011 to 2014 and at Pulse Electronics Corporation from 2010 to 2011. Joe also worked at Astra Zeneca as the Senior Manager of Domestic Tax Planning from 2008 to 2010. During their tenure at Astra Zeneca, they successfully integrated the MedImmune tax function, contributing to the smooth acquisition process.

Prior to Astra Zeneca, Joe Lerario held the role of Director of Domestic Tax at VIASYS Healthcare from 2006 to 2007 and was a Tax Manager at Airgas from 2004 to 2006. Joe began their career at Cigna as an Assistant Director of International Tax from 1997 to 2002. Joe Lerario started their professional journey as a Senior Tax Consultant at Deloitte from 1993 to 1997.

Joe Lerario, CPA, completed their education in accounting and taxation. Joe graduated from Widener University in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Accounting. Later, they attended Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Master of Science in Taxation (MST). Joe is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Pennsylvania, certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Accountancy. The exact month and year of their CPA certification are unknown.
