Akshai Nakkana

Akshai Nakkana has held a variety of roles in the engineering and customer service industries. In 2022, they began working as a Staff Manufacturing Automation Engineer for EnerVenue. From 2013-2022, they were employed at COE Press Equipment as a Mechanical Engineering Manager, where they supervised multiple projects, acted as project manager for product realization, and led cross functional teams. Akshai also served as an R&D Mechanical Engineer, where they engineered custom worm and helical gearboxes, brakes, servomotor systems, and AC inverter duty drives. In 2011, they were an EcoCar II Mechanical Engineer at Wayne State University, where they designed auxiliary units, brackets, and gearboxes using Unigraphics NX 7.5, and validated designs through finite element analysis using Ansys. Akshai also held a Dinning Associate position at AVI Foodsystems, a Programmer Associate position at Cognizant Technology Solutions, and an Associate position at Amazon, where they provided customer service support, searched for lost or damaged packages, and supported Kindle e-readers. In 2008, they were a Manufacturing Engineer at Jaya Enterprises, where they were involved in the manufacturing process of pneumatic press design and its construction.

Akshai Nakkana completed a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Mechanical Engineering from Swami Vivekananda Institute Of Technology in 2010. Akshai then went on to pursue a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University from 2011 to 2013. In 2016, they completed a Master of Science - MS in Business Admin. & Management from Sullivan University. Finally, they earned an Executive MBA from Sullivan University in 2018. Akshai also holds a Six Sigma certification.
