Silvan Kuttimalai

Silvan Kuttimalai is an accomplished engineer and researcher with extensive experience in deep learning, compiler design, and computational physics. Currently serving as MTS Customer Engineering at Enfabrica since August 2025, prior roles include a brief tenure at AMD and a significant position as Staff Software Engineer at Untether AI, where Silvan specialized in developing high-performance applications for large language models and computer vision. Previous contributions at Lemurian Labs as Senior Compiler Engineer included benchmarking and optimizing a multi-dimensional logarithmic number system. As a Research Scientist at 1QBit, Silvan created the first end-to-end compiler for the Groq LPU™ processor and helped industry partners solve optimization problems through a flexible computational framework. Silvan also has a robust academic background with a Ph.D. in Physics from Durham University and teaching experience as a Sessional Lecturer.
