Dr. Julia Metzner

Dr. Julia Metzner is a highly experienced professional with a strong background in business development and academic research. Currently serving as Senior Business Development Manager at Engelhard since June 2021, Dr. Metzner previously held multiple roles at STADA from August 2013 to April 2021, including Head of Portfolio Management Specialties/Alliance Management and Senior Manager of Business Transformation. An academic career at Goethe University, Frankfurt spanned from February 2007 to June 2013, where Dr. Metzner was instrumental in establishing the GRADE program for PhD students and conducted research on nociception and neuropathic pain. Additional postdoctoral research occurred at Harvard Medical School, focusing on neuronal regeneration. Dr. Metzner holds a Diplom in Biochemistry and a PhD from Goethe University, completed in 2007.
