Monique Rowtham-Kennedy has extensive experience in the legal and compliance field. Monique began their career as an Associate at Day, Berry & Howard LLP in 1991 and worked there until 1995. Following this, they joined Northeast Utilities as a Senior Counsel and stayed with the company until 2006. In 2007, they became a Senior Counsel at American Electric Power and held this position until 2011 when they joined the United States Department of Defense as the Deputy General Counsel for Environment and Installations. In 2012, they moved to Noble Americas Corp as a Legal Counsel, Compliance and worked there until 2014. Currently, they are employed at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners, where they initially served as the Global Compliance Coordinator and Americas Head of Compliance from 2014 to 2019. From 2019 onwards, they have held the position of Global Head of Compliance.

Monique Rowtham-Kennedy completed their undergraduate studies at Brown University from 1984 to 1988, earning a Bachelor of Arts (AB) degree with a focus on International Relations. Following this, they pursued their higher education at Duke University School of Law from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) degree.
