Shelly (Jie hui) Shi has over 27 years of work experience in the commodities trading and marketing industry. Shelly (Jie hui) started their career in 1993 at COFCO Corporation, where they held various roles, including Deputy Director of the Corporate Culture Department and Deputy General Manager of the Corn Division. At COFCO, they led corporate communication efforts, focused on change management during the company's "full value chain" strategy launch in 2009. Shelly (Jie hui) also managed corporate responsibility and young talent working departments.

In 2009, Shelly joined Cargill as the Director of Government Affairs and later became the Vice President of Corporate Affairs for Cargill China. Shelly (Jie hui) was responsible for managing government relations and advocating for Cargill's interests in China.

In 2014, Shelly moved to BTG Pactual as the Marketing Director for China, where they played a crucial role in promoting the company's products and services in the Chinese market.

Most recently, Shelly worked at Engelhart Commodities Trading Partners as the Director of Grain, Oilseeds & Sugar, China. Shelly (Jie hui) was later promoted to the position of Asia Marketing Head of Grains and Oilseeds, showcasing their expertise in the marketing and trading of agricultural commodities in the Asian region.

Shelly (Jie hui) Shi's education history begins in 1989 when they enrolled at the University of International Business and Economics. Shelly (Jie hui) completed their Bachelor of Economics degree in International Business/Trade/Commerce in 1993. Shelly continued their education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in International Business Administration from 1998 to 2001. Finally, they pursued further studies and attained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Organizational Behavior Studies from the University of International Business and Economics from 2008 to 2015.
