Garth Campbell-Cowan has extensive experience in the finance sector, with a strong background in financial reporting and analysis. Garth has held various leadership positions throughout their career, starting as a Manager Group Policy & Special Projects at ANZ in 1989. From 1995 to 2000, they served as the General Manager Finance and Tax at Newcrest Mining, overseeing financial reporting, treasury, taxation, insurance, and risk management. From 2001 to 2002, they worked as the Group Manager Financial Reporting at WMC Resources, providing technical accounting advisory services. Subsequently, they joined Telstra as the Director Group Accounting from 2002 to 2006. During this time, they led the central financial reporting and analysis functions.
In 2006, Garth became Chief Financial Officer at St Barbara, an Australian gold company listed on the ASX. In this role, they were responsible for driving the strategic agenda, business planning, capital management, procurement and logistics, information technology, and finance. Garth successfully contributed to the growth of the company and generated substantial revenue.
Following their tenure at St Barbara, Garth served as a Business Consultant in 2021, providing their expertise to various organizations. Shortly after, they joined Navarre Minerals Ltd as a Non-Executive Director in November 2021, contributing their insights to the company's board.
In 2022, Garth joined FAR Limited as the CFO and Executive Director, responsible for the financial management of the company.
Currently, Garth holds the position of Interim Chief Financial Officer at Engenco Limited, starting in May 2023. Throughout their career, they have consistently demonstrated their financial expertise and leadership abilities, making significant contributions to the organizations they have been a part of.
Garth Campbell-Cowan completed a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (Honours) from the University of Cape Town, spanning from 1980 to 1984. In 1987, they pursued a course in Accounting and Finance at the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, but no degree was specified for this program. From 1991 to 1992, Garth undertook a Diploma of Applied Finance & Investment at the Securities Institute of Australia, focusing once again on Accounting and Finance.
