Sekai Chikowero

VP, Programs at EngenderHealth

As EngenderHealth’s Vice President of Programs, Sekai is responsible for advancing EngenderHealth’s mission at the global level. She plays a significant role in shaping the strategic direction and related policies and guidelines for the organization. Prior to joining EngenderHealth, Sekai served as Senior Program Director/Portfolio Lead for East and Southern Africa for Pathfinder International. Before that, she worked for various INGOs directing country programs and multi-disciplinary teams in Kenya, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, and her native Zimbabwe. She brings 25 years of program management experience in global health and multi-sectoral interventions, including sexual and reproductive health and rights, maternal and child health, HIV/AIDS, gender-based violence, nutrition, agriculture, and food security. Sekai holds a master of public health from George Washington University, a master of science in rural and urban planning, and a bachelor of science in sociology from the University of Zimbabwe.
