Previous positions include significant roles at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, such as Head of Technology Strategy & Evaluation and various senior technologist positions, as well as key leadership roles at Cray Inc. and Datapipe. Arti G. has a robust background in data and analytics, having worked for NRG Energy and GE, and provided oversight for a substantial R&D budget at the Office of Management and Budget. With advanced degrees in Physics and engineering from prestigious institutions including Harvard University and Stanford University, Arti G. combines technical expertise with a commitment to community engagement.

Engineers & Scientists Acting Locally (ESAL) is a national 501(c)3 organization committed to increasing civic participation among people with backgrounds in STEM. Founded by engineers and scientists experienced in public policy, ESAL serves as a platform for bridging technical expertise with community needs. Operating as a non-partisan and non-advocacy group, we facilitate informed dialogue, encourage innovative problem-solving, and support the integration of scientific insights into local decision-making processes. Our goal is to build a robust network of STEM experts who are dedicated to driving positive change within their communities.
