Thamindu Wedatilake is a highly experienced Consultant in Sport and Exercise Medicine with a career spanning over a decade. Currently, Thamindu serves as a Consultant at The New Foscote Hospital and Bupa, and is the Lead Doctor for the Women's Programme at the England & Wales Cricket Board since 2011. Additionally, Thamindu holds a Clinical Associate Professorship in Sport and Exercise Medicine at the University of Nottingham. Previous roles include lead doctor at Southampton Football Club and consultant positions at various clinics and institutions, including Blackberry Orthopaedic Clinic and Wimbledon Clinics. Thamindu’s education includes a CCT in Sport and Exercise Medicine from Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, an MSc in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound from Bournemouth University, and an MBBS from the University of Wales, Cardiff. Thamindu is also a member of the Royal College of Physicians.
