Mark Aveson Bateman

Mark Aveson Bateman has extensive experience in talent development and coaching within hockey, currently serving as the Lead Talent Development Coach for Boys at England and Great Britain Hockey since January 2009. Mark is responsible for the England U18 Boys as Head Coach, providing strategic leadership and developing talent coaches while supporting various age group programmes. Additionally, Mark holds multiple roles including Trustee at The Andrew Gibson Foundation, UK Sport Coach Developer, and Coach Mentor for The Premier League. Mark is the owner of The Coaching Company, delivering coaching and development camps, and previously has held significant coaching positions across various levels of hockey, including at Brooklands MU Hockey Club and Olton and West Warwickshire Hockey Club. Mark's educational background includes advanced degrees in Elite Coaching Practice and Physical Education, enhancing expertise in talent development.
