Julia Sorkin

Julia Sorkin is an experienced researcher and medical assistant with a strong educational background from Rutgers University, where studies were completed from 2019 to 2023. Currently serving as a researcher at Rutgers University, Julia investigates the effects of disrupting Tex14 during meiosis in mice and conducts immunofluorescence on histology sections. As a clinical medical assistant at Englewood Orthopedic Associates, Julia provides support for a retrospective study on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and assists the trauma surgery team at NYU Langone Health. Julia's extensive experience includes serving as an emergency medical technician at Cranford First Aid Squad Inc, providing critical life support, and instructing first aid to scouting troops. Additionally, Julia has taught General Physics courses at Rutgers Physics & Astronomy, managing recitations and grading, and has worked as a laboratory technician specializing in stem cell research.
