Rob Woodside

Estates Director at English Heritage

Rob Woodside is currently the Estates Director at English Heritage. Prior to this, they served as the Assistant Director of Conservation for the National Trust from July 2012 to September 2017. In this role, they oversaw a team of over 100 conservation professionals responsible for building maintenance, collections management, curatorship, ecology, archaeology, estate management, planning, environmental practices, and the delivery of major conservation projects across the London and South East region.

Before joining the National Trust, Rob worked for Atkins as an Associate Director of Heritage from January 2006 to July 2012. In this role, they were responsible for providing strategic heritage advice to a wide range of clients, developing and delivering conservation management plans, overseeing complex heritage-led regeneration projects, and leading teams of heritage consultants on a variety of assignments.

Rob Woodside has a MSc in Sustainable Heritage from University College London. Rob also has certification from University College London in MSc Built Environment: Sustainable Heritage.
