Anssi Rantasalo

Anssi Rantasalo is a biotechnology professional with extensive experience in research and industry. As Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Enifer since November 2020, Anssi has leveraged expertise in strain engineering and synthetic biology tools. Previously, Anssi worked as a Research Scientist at VTT from March 2014 to November 2020, focusing on industrial biotechnology applications. Anssi's early career includes roles as a Research Trainee at VTT, a Production Technician at DuPont, and a Process Operator at Neste during several summer internships. Anssi holds a Doctor of Science (Technology) degree from Aalto University, as well as a Master of Science (Technology) and Bachelor of Science (Technology) from the University of Turku, complemented by time at Heidelberg University.
