Panos Panayiotou currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for the Government of the Republic of Cyprus at the Deputy Ministry for Research, Innovation & Digital Policy since January 2023. Panos also provides advisory services on cybersecurity as a vCISO at GCC, and holds multiple roles within the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), including membership in the AHWG European Cybersecurity Skills Framework and participation in the development of the CSP Cybersecurity certification. Additionally, Panos acts as a Digital, CyberSecurity, and Innovation Advisor at ACBcyprus, and serves on the Executive Committee of the Digital Strategy Group at the European Banking Federation. Other notable positions include membership on the Board of Advisors for the CyberSecurity Programme at European University Cyprus and founding CIRCL3.TECH. Panos previously held leadership roles in cybersecurity at the Association of Cyprus Banks and Bank of Cyprus. Educational qualifications include an M.Sc. in Information Security from Royal Holloway, University of London, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Coventry University.
