Matthew Aguayo, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience. In 2018, they co-founded and served as the CEO of EnKoat. In 2019, they worked as an Innovation Corps (I-Corps) Researcher for the National Science Foundation (NSF). From 2011 to 2019, they were a Research Scholar, Graduate Research Associate, Teaching Assistant, and Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Arizona State University. In 2011, they worked as a Civil Engineering Intern for the Arizona Department of Transportation. In 2008, they were a Civil Engineering Intern for Pinal County Public Works.
Matthew Aguayo, Ph.D. began their educational journey at Central Arizona College, where they obtained an Associate of Science (A.S.) in 2008-2010. Matthew then continued their studies at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.E.) in Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering in 2010-2012. Matthew further pursued their studies at Arizona State University, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Structures and Materials Engineering in 2013-2014. Finally, they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Structures and Materials Engineering from Arizona State University in 2014-2018. In addition, they obtained a HERS Associate from RESNET in March 2020, and a Fundamentals of Engineering, Civil Engineering from NCEES in 2012.
