Doug Crone

Team Lead, Distribution Project Engineering at ENMAX

Doug Crone has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Doug started their career as an Apprentice Electrician at Consumers' Co-operative Refineries Ltd. in 2000. Doug then worked as a Trunking and Switching Technician at SaskTel from 2001 to 2005. After that, they worked as a Programmer Analyst at SaskTel International from 2005 to 2006. Doug briefly served as a Field Services Engineer at Magna IV Engineering (Calgary) Ltd. in 2006 before joining Maskell Plenzik & Partners Engineering Inc. as a Project Engineer. At Maskell Plenzik & Partners Engineering Inc., they handled various projects from design to construction administration. In 2011, they joined ENMAX as a Design Supervisor, and later moved up to Supervising Engineer and Manager positions. Doug is currently working at ENMAX as a Team Lead, overseeing distribution project engineering and leading a team responsible for design and construction support for residential electrical utility servicing within the ENMAX service territory.

Doug Crone attended the University of Saskatchewan from 1998 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering with a focus on Electrical Engineering. Additionally, they also earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science during the same time period. Doug has not obtained any additional certifications from The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
