Elise Rees

Elise Rees is a business advisor and board member with experience in a wide variety of sectors. Elise has served on the board of directors for Vancouver Board of Trade, ENMAX, and Artemis Gold Inc., among others. Most recently, they were appointed as an independent board director for Westland Insurance Group Ltd. Rees began their career as a staff accountant for Deloitte Haskins and Sells in England before moving to Canada in 1981 to join EY. Elise became a partner at EY in transaction tax and held various leadership roles during their 35 years with the company, including leading the BC Transaction Advisory Practice and the BC Transaction Tax Practice. Elise retired from EY in 2016.

Elise Rees has a BA Hons in Organization Behaviour from the University of Strathclyde. Elise also has a certification from the Institute of Corporate Directors in ICD.D and a certification from the chartered professional accountant in FCPA.
