Soroush Shafiee

Soroush Shafiee, Ph.D., P.Eng., is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in distribution system planning and project engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer at ENMAX since June 2021, Soroush has previously held roles at Teshmont Consultants LP from May 2017 to June 2021, where responsibilities included conducting generation interconnection studies, analyzing system congestion, and developing load shedding strategies. Soroush's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology. Additionally, Soroush has contributed to academic teaching and mentoring at the University of Calgary, covering various engineering courses and aiding in student research development.
