Ajit Apte

Ajit Apte is currently a board member at Enoch Pratt Free Library. From May 2012 to December 2017, they were the director of Information Technology at Exelon, where they were responsible for support and maintenance of customer care and billing platforms for Baltimore Gas and Electric, comprising of Oracle's COTS products - CC&B and MDM (Meter Data Management), additional responsibilities included legacy customer systems and other systems that support Customer Choice.

Ajit's responsibilities also include portfolio management for the Customer Systems, which includes budgeting, planning and forecasting of Labor and Non Labor aspects, providing inputs to build strategic direction for IT systems and executing on agreed upon strategy with business partners. Fiscal responsibility includes yearly operations budget of ~ 10 Million Dollars and Project budget of ~ 8 Million Dollars.

During their time at Exelon, Ajit achieved a number of successes, including reducing the Operations budget by over 35%, increasing system performance and system uptime every year, delivering Multi Million Dollar Regulatory projects, and delivering Customer Experience Enhancements.

Prior to their time at Exelon, Ajit was the director of Information Technology at Constellation Energy from April 2002 to May 2012.

Ajit Apte completed a Master of Engineering in Microprocessor Systems from The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical from National Institute of Technology Surat. Ajit also attended Atomic Energy Central School.
