William D. “Bill” Chase brings extensive experience in federal law enforcement investigations, program management, and the private sector. He enjoyed an exceptional 25-year career at the FBI where he held numerous leadership positions at both FBIHQ and in the field. Of note, Mr. Chase directed the initial response of the Boston FBI Field Office to the 9/11 attacks, and subsequently helped lead strategic changes at the FBI necessary to address future threats. In 2003 and 2004, Mr. Chase worked at FBI Headquarters where he helped implement the rapid expansion of 60 foreign offices, and wrote the plan to coordinate deployment of the FBI’s emergency response capabilities to an act of terrorism anywhere in the world. From 2006 to 2008, Mr. Chase was a Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Baltimore Field Office where he was responsible for all administrative, criminal, terrorism, and foreign counterintelligence operations in Maryland and Delaware. He managed eight Resident Agency offices manned by over 200 Special Agents and 109 support staff, and a multi-million dollar budget. Prior to this, he served as the Special Agent in Charge based in Albany, New York where he managed operations in Upstate New York and Vermont.

Since retiring from the FBI in 2008, Mr. Chase has continued his work with the law enforcement community. He served as Vice President, Federal Law Enforcement for i2S and as Director, Federal Law Enforcement Sales for LexisNexis Special Services, where he oversaw contracts with the Department of Justice and FBI. He was also the Senior Account Executive for the Department of Justice and the FBI at TASC.

Mr. Chase holds a Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Westfield State University. Additionally, he successfully completed Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management course on “Leading Strategic Change” for executives, as well as several courses at the Department of Homeland Security Academy and other federal facilities. Mr. Chase has received numerous awards and commendations throughout his career, and was recommended for both the FBI Medal of Valor and the Presidential Rank Award for Meritorious Service.
