Lauren Strouse (she/her)

Lauren Strouse has a diverse and extensive work experience in the senior living and healthcare industry. Lauren has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in memory care, program coordination, and quality assurance consulting.

Starting from 2023, they are currently the National Director of Memory Care at Five Star Senior Living, where they provide strategic and operational leadership to senior living communities, focusing on delivering excellent care experiences and optimizing efficiencies. Lauren takes a holistic approach to the health and wellness of individuals with cognitive deficits, promoting a positive and nurturing environment for those with Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia.

From 2019 to 2023, Lauren worked as the Divisional Dementia Care Manager at Brookdale, overseeing training and programming standards for over 55 communities across several states. Lauren also served as a consultant and presenter for sales and marketing, developing targeted strategies for dementia care product lines. Additionally, they presented on sexuality and aging at a state-wide conference, receiving positive feedback.

In 2019, Lauren operated their own consultancy, Lauren Strouse Consulting LLC, providing Quality Assurance consulting to skilled nursing and assisted living communities in Indiana, with a focus on programming and social services.

Prior to that, from 2017 to 2018, they held the position of Divisional Dementia Care Manager at Brookdale, supporting dementia care programs in multiple states and collaborating with sales and marketing teams. Lauren also presented on sexuality and aging at a conference.

At American Senior Communities from 2013 to 2017, Lauren served as the Director of Social Services, training and mentoring staff and building collaborative relationships with an interdisciplinary team to enhance resident well-being. Lauren was also ranked as a top performing facility in Indiana. Before that, they worked as a Memory Care Program Facilitator, assisting in admissions, marketing, and resident care.

Beginning their career at Companion Care Company in 2012, Lauren was a Program Coordinator, overseeing residential programs for individuals with various disabilities and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet their specific goals.
