Benard Charles NDEGE has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Benard Charles started their career in 2017 as a teacher at Mugwanya Summit College, where they taught Mathematics and Physics at the Advanced Level. Benard Charles was responsible for elaborating course content, assisting and guiding learners, and conducting practical classes.

In the same year, Benard worked as a Statistician at the Uganda Virus Research Institute-MRC for a brief period.

In 2018, they joined Ensibuuko as a Data Scientist, focusing on Savings and Credit Cooperative Organizations (SACCOs). Their work involved analyzing data and finding insights to improve the returns for SACCO members.

Benard then pursued their Master's degree at the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences-Senegal starting from 2017. Their thesis focused on developing a framework for Population Pharmacokinetic-Pharmacodynamic models in Drug Dosaging. During their studies, they also specialized in Data Science and Machine Learning.

Returning to Ensibuuko in 2019, Benard took on the role of a Data Scientist and Software Developer. Benard Charles used their skills to analyze data and develop software solutions for the company.

Most recently, in 2020, Benard joined Data Science Uganda as a Team Lead Manager. The organization aims to drive the digital revolution in Uganda through data science and artificial intelligence. Benard's responsibilities include facilitating data science innovations through education, research, and industry partnerships, as well as providing intuitive solutions to businesses and organizations in the country.

Benard Charles NDEGE completed their secondary level education in Physics and Mathematics at Kisubi Minor Seminary from 2006 to 2010. Afterward, they pursued a Bachelor of Science with Education (Physical) degree in Physics and Mathematics at Makerere University from 2013 to 2017. In 2016, they also obtained a Certificate in Guidance and Counselling from Makerere University. Moving forward, Benard attended the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences - Senegal from 2017 to 2019, where they earned a Master's degree in Mathematical Sciences with a focus on Computer and Information Systems Security/Big Data. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Guidance and Counselling from Makerere University's Faculty of Psychology in December 2016.
