George Wilde

George Wilde has over 15 years of work experience in software engineering and consultancy roles.

George is currently employed at Ensono Digital, where they hold the position of Principal Software Consultant, a role they have been in since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Lead Software Consultant at the same company from March 2021 to November 2022.

Before joining Ensono Digital, George worked at Purplebricks Group PLC as a Principal Software Engineer from December 2020 to March 2021. Prior to that, they were a Senior Frontend Engineer from March 2020 to December 2020.

From 2017 to 2021, George was the Director and Principal Software Engineer at their own company, Wilde Creations.

George has also worked as a Lead Frontend Engineer / Architect at E.ON from September 2019 to March 2020, a Senior Frontend Engineer at Experian from March 2019 to September 2019, and a Senior Frontend Engineer at npower from June 2018 to March 2019.

George has prior experience at E.ON as well, where they held the role of Lead Frontend Engineer from October 2017 to June 2018.

Their earlier work experience includes being a Lead Frontend Engineer at Codeweavers Limited from May 2016 to October 2017, Head of Engineering at Footwork Solutions from January 2011 to May 2016, and Senior Full Stack Engineer at the same company from January 2010 to January 2011.

George began their career as a Full Stack Engineer at Novena Consulting, where they worked from September 2007 to December 2009.

George Wilde attended Golspie High School from 1992 to 1998. George did not earn a degree or study any specific field during their time there.

After completing high school, George pursued higher education at Edinburgh Napier University from 1998 to 2000. George earned a degree in Design & Engineering, focusing on the field of engineering.

In addition to their formal education, George obtained several certifications. In 2008, they became a Zend Certified PHP Engineer through Zend Technologies. Furthermore, in 2018, they obtained the Professional Scrum Master (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org. In 2019, they obtained the PAL I - Professional Agile Leadership certification, also from Scrum.org. Most recently, in 2023, George achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft.
