James Horrocks

James Horrocks has a diverse background in data engineering and analysis. James is currently working as a Data Engineering Consultant at Amido since February 2022. Prior to this role, they were a Data Engineer at Little Dot Studios from September 2021 to February 2022. Before that, James worked at Zoopla, where they held two positions - as a Data Engineer from January 2020 to August 2021, and as a Business Intelligence Developer from August 2018 to January 2020. James also gained experience as a Data Analyst at Selecta UK from November 2017 to July 2018 and at Pelican Rouge Group from June 2017 to October 2017. James began their career as a IT Placement Student at Henderson Global Investors from August 2014 to August 2015. Notably, during their time at The Guinness Partnership as a Management Information Developer from October 2016 to March 2017, they gained expertise in QlikView dashboards design, implementation and maintenance, as well as SQL Server report production and stakeholder management.

James Horrocks attended the University of Kent from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence and a Year In Industry. Prior to that, they attended The Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe from 2005 to 2012, although no specific degree or field of study information was provided for this period.

In addition to their formal education, James has obtained several certifications. In June 2023, they obtained the "Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals" certification from Microsoft. In June 2022, they obtained the "AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner" certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), and in November 2022, they obtained the "AWS Certified Developer – Associate" certification, also from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
