Dr. Palmer earned his Bachelors Degree from the University of Minnesota in 1981. He graduated with a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1985. Dr. Palmer earned his certification (C.C.S.T.) in conservative care of spinal trauma which gives him exceptional knowledge and experience in treating spine trauma including “whiplash” and traumatic work or recreational injuries. Dr. Palmer is certified in the care of Sports Injuries, including acupuncture and physiotherapy. Dr. Palmer is widely recognized as an expert in sports medicine having presented over 30 different workshops and keynote lectures on various aspects of health, wellness, disease and back injury prevention to over 150 different groups.
Dr. Palmer has teamed up with Mark Letendre, the San Francisco Giant’s head trainer for 12 years, two time National League All Star Trainer, and now the Director of Medical Services for MLB Umpires, to teach chiropractors how to integrate with professional and collegiate sports teams medical care system for the care of the players. Dr. Palmer is the co-founder of C.E.P.A., the Chiropractic Association for the Care of Elite and Professional Athletes. C.E.P.A. is actively involved in the advancement of chiropractic care in collegiate, professional and international sports. Dr. Palmer and C.E.P.A. are also co-founders of the U.S.S.C.F., the United States Sports Chiropractic Federation. The U.S.S.C.F. is the governing body for chiropractic care for all International Sporting events held in the United States. He is a Director of the Professional Baseball Chiropractors Society. Dr. Palmer’s former clinic in Scottsdale, AZ worked with numerous professional and world class athletes. He is the treating chiropractic physician for the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Phoenix Coyotes and the San Francisco Giants during spring training.
