Aaron Shields

Aaron Shields has a diverse work experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting operations, and finance management. Aaron is currently working as the SVP and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis at Enstar Group since 2022. Previously, they held positions at TriNet, where they served as the Executive Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, overseeing the development of financial models and collaborating with senior leadership for business planning. Aaron also worked as the Executive Director of Accounting Operations, directing a team of 70 and managing various accounting transactions. Prior to that, Aaron worked at Zurich Insurance Company as the Manager of Finance, responsible for financial reporting and managing the planning and forecasting for the business unit. Aaron started their career at Aon, serving in different roles such as Assistant Vice President and Account Executive, managing client relationships and negotiations. Aaron began their career as a Financial Planning Accountant at Saint Mary's University.

Aaron Shields has a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Finance from Dalhousie University, obtained between the years 1996 and 2001. Aaron also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation from Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada), obtained from 2004 to 2006. Furthermore, Aaron has obtained the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the CMA British Columbia.
