Darla Fortner Ms, Sphr

Darla Fortner MS, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has over 30 years of experience in human resources and related fields. Darla Fortner began their career as a Recruiter and Placement Specialist at TAC Temps in 1990 before moving on to become an HR Manager at Haight Ashbury Free Clinics in 1991. After four years in that role, they joined Enstrom Candies Inc. in 2000 as the Director of Human Resources. Darla Fortner is currently an Adjunct Professor at Colorado Mesa University, a position they have held since 2016.

Darla Fortner has a strong educational background in the field of psychology. Darla Fortner earned their Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Psychology, a minor in Sociology, and interdisciplinary study in criminal justice from Colorado State University between 1983 and 1987. Later, they pursued further education and completed their Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from San Francisco State University between 1992 and 1995.

In addition to their academic achievements, Darla Fortner has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional credentials. Darla Fortner earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2007, and they obtained the Adaptable certification from ClearFit in February 2015. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying current with industry standards and their dedication to continuous professional development.
